New Don McClain research connects business funding readiness with longer-term capital strategy, commercial finance and transaction planning

Medro Advisors today highlighted a new multi-platform research series examining Capital Readiness and the importance of preparing a business for financing before capital becomes urgent.
The August 25 research begins with the business-funding environment but addresses a broader strategic principle:
Capital planning should begin before the financing application.
Through Fasty Funding, the framework evaluates business funding readiness through the Three C's — Cash Flow, Credit and Collateral — plus a fourth component: the Capital File.
Together, these factors help determine not simply whether a business may qualify for financing today, but what steps may strengthen its position for future capital requirements.
From Funding Readiness to Capital Strategy
The research distinguishes between a business that has no viable financing path and one that may simply be:
Not Capital Ready Yet.
Where identifiable weaknesses can realistically be improved, the business may benefit from a structured 30/60/90-day Capital Readiness roadmap rather than repeatedly submitting the same financing profile.
The framework includes:
Cash Flow — Understanding revenue consistency, liquidity, profitability, existing obligations and the amount of additional capital the business can realistically support.
Credit — Evaluating how personal and business credit may affect available capital sources, pricing, leverage and transaction structure.
Collateral — Identifying commercial real estate, equipment, receivables, inventory and other assets that may create additional financing alternatives.
Capital File — Organizing the financial and operational documentation necessary to make the business understandable and underwritable.
The larger objective is preparation.
Capital readiness cannot guarantee financing approval, but advance preparation can create additional time to understand weaknesses, improve documentation and evaluate financing alternatives before a capital requirement becomes urgent.
The Medro Advisors Capital Continuum
The August 25 research also illustrates how an initial business-funding requirement can evolve into a much broader capital relationship.
A business may initially require working capital for inventory, payroll, marketing or expansion.
As that company grows, its capital requirements may progress into:
Equipment financing
Commercial real estate financing
Refinancing
Bridge and transitional capital
Acquisition financing
Recapitalization
Business acquisitions
Ownership transitions
Long-term transaction strategy
Within the broader Medro Advisors ecosystem, specialized platforms address different stages of that progression.

The progression can therefore become:
Capital Readiness → Business Funding → Growth → Structured Capital → Acquisition or Expansion → Long-Term Capital Strategy
This integrated approach reflects a central Medro Advisors principle:
Capital should be evaluated as part of the complete business and transaction strategy—not merely as an isolated financing product.
